Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai
Upon landing at the airport, you will meet our experienced guide outside the customs. After a warm greeting, we will transfer you to your hotel. Along the way, the guide will give you a brief introduction about the coming Shanghai tour. After being settled, you will be free to have a good rest at the hotel or tour the city on your own.

Day 2 Shanghai

After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to Shanghai Museum. Built in 1952, Shanghai Museum has abundant Chinese ancient artistic collections. Besides, there are twelve showrooms displaying bronze wares, ceramics, calligraphy works, paintings, lacquer wares, enamels, and carved stone sculptures. Then, we will head to the Yu Garden, which is a private garden of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). Within the garden, some attractive spots like mid-lake pavilions, zigzag bridges, as well as the horizontal inscribed boards and inscriptions are waiting for you. 

Around noon, we will arrange an a la carte lunch in a famous restaurant to let you have a taste of authentic and delicious Shanghai food. In the afternoon, you will be driven to take a cruise on the Huangpu River, which divides Shanghai into Puxi and Pudong districts, and you will view the quintessence of the city's landscape on both banks of the river. After that, we will pay a visit to an old cultural block Tianzifang to spend a leisure afternoon. 

Today's private Shanghai tour ends here, and you will be sent back to the hotel to have some rest.

Day 3 Shanghai - Beijing
The entire arrangement of the morning is totally up to you. You can either take some rest in the hotel or go out to further explore the city. In the afternoon, the guide will escort you to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, and then you will take a high-speed train to Beijing. Upon arrival, you will meet our guide at Beijing South Railway Station, and then be guided to the hotel for check-in.

Day 4 Beijing
Forbidden City, Beijing
In Beijing, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City are two must-see places for tourists, and today's private China tour will start with these two sites. As the biggest square in the world, Tiananmen Square is in the center of the city. Besides, you can view Monument to the People's Heroes, Chairman Mao Memorial Hall on the square, as well as the National Museum of China on the square. Accompanied by our guide, you will then head for the Forbidden City, also called the Palace Museum. It is the most well-preserved and the largest royal architectural complex in China. There are a large number of precious cultural relics collected in the museum. Then an a la carte lunch valuing CNY150.00 per person is served at a very famous restaurant, and the lunch fare is included in our price. 

In the afternoon, continue your private China tour to the Temple of Heaven. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 - 1911), emperors often worshiped Heaven and prayed for a good harvest over there.

Day 5 Beijing
Great Wall of China
This morning we will drive you to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. As one of the Eight Wonders of the world, there is a popular saying in China: He who doesn't reach the Great Wall is not a true man. A visit to the Great Wall can be the highlight of this 12-day China tour. Lunch is not included in our price. You may have a meal in fast food restaurants near the Great Wall.

On the way back, we will drive by the Bird's Nest, and you will see this grand Olympic venue at a distance. After that, we will escort you to a well-known local market in downtown area where you can stroll and pick souvenirs.

Day 6 Beijing - Xian
After breakfast, take your entire belongings to check out the hotel, and then you will be driven to the Summer Palace. Ranking the top in Chinese classical gardens, buildings in the Summer Palace harmoniously integrate with the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake. Getting out of the palace, we will arrange you a Hutong tour, and your Beijing tour package will come to an end at this point.

You will be escorted to Beijing West Railway Station to take a high speed train to Xian. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel by a comfortable drive.

Day 7 Xian
Terracotta Army, Xian
Today's private Xian tour will start with the Terracotta Army Museum. With the guide's explanation, you will feel amazed by these vivid terracotta soldiers and chariots made during the Qin Dynasty (221 - 207 BC). Lunch is not arranged, so you can choose a restaurant near the museum based on your preference.

In the afternoon, you will have a visual feast at the Provincial History Museum. About 370,000 pieces of precious cultural relics are exhibiting there, such as exquisite bronze wares of Shang and Zhou (17th century BC - 256 BC), distinctive gold and silver treasures of Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220) and Tang Dynasty (618 - 907), as well as unique Tang tomb murals. Then the guide will take you to visit the Great Mosque. You can also enjoy some sample local flavors at the nearby Muslim Street.

Day 8 Xian - Guilin

In the morning, our guide will pick you up at the hotel and drive you to the well-preserved City Wall which has guarded the old city of Xian for over 1,400 years. Then we will head for the Small Wild Goose Pagoda built during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Afterwards, you will be taken to a local family, and a home-cooked a la carte lunch will be arranged there.

After that, you will leave Xian for your next destination, Guilin. When arriving at the airport, you will meet the local guide at the exit and be transferred to the hotel by a comfortable drive.

Day 9 Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin
Today, we will arrange a cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Lunch will be served onboard, but it may not be to your taste, so you are advised to prepare some food before departure. After breakfast, our guide will pick you up and drive you to the wharf. The picturesque scenery along the way will definitely refresh you and you can even find the landscape printed on the note CNY20.

Upon arrival in Yangshuo, we will have a short trip to the countryside to enjoy the water and hills stretching endlessly before your eyes. Then we will guide you to a local villager's home to experience local farmer's lifestyle. After that, you will be transferred back to Guilin to have some rest.

Day 10 Guilin - Hong Kong
Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo
In the morning, we will stop by the Reed Flute Cave to appreciate exquisite stalactites. Lunch is not arranged by us, and you may have a meal in a nearby restaurant. After that, you will be transferred to Guilin West Railway Station for your onward high speed train to Hong Kong.

Upon arrival at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, please find your own way to the Regal Kowloon Hotel or the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong we booked for you. You may take 10 minutes' walk to the Austin Station of West Rail Line and take MTR to East Tsim Sha Tsui Station. Then walk for around 10 minutes to get to the Regal Kowloon Hotel. If you take a taxi directly, the fare is around HK$30. For people who stay at InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong, you can book and take the free shuttle bus service provided by the hotel.

Day 11 Hong Kong
Victoria Peak, Hong Kong
English is popular in Hong Kong, so it's convenient for you to arrange a Hong Kong Island Tour. We suggest you start with the Victoria Peak. You may walk westwards along Mody Road to take metro Tsuen Wan Line at Tsim Sha Tsui Station; leave from Exit K of Central Station and walk southwards to take the Bus No. 15 or Minibus Line 1 to the Victoria Peak, where you can overlook the whole HK.

After that, you may visit a fishing village named Aberdeen and Repulse Bay where you can enjoy the charming coastal scenery. Please walk northwards from Peak Tram Lower Station for 500 meters to take bus no. 37A in front of the Bank of China Tower; transfer to bus no. 71 at Queen Mary Hospital, Pok Fu Lam Road; get off at Yue Fai Road, Aberdeen Main Road and you will get to the Aberdeen. After visiting there, take bus no. 73 to the Repulse Bay.

You may conclude this Hong Kong tour with the prosperous Stanley Market, which can also be accessed by bus no. 73. Then, take bus no. 973 to Tsim Sha Tsui East and walk back to your hotel.

Day 12 Departure from Hong Kong
Your 12-day China private tour will come to an end today. You may take bus A20 or A21 to the airport for your homeward flight. We wish you a nice journey home.
