Hello, what is the best way to get to the Ming Tombs from the Forbidden Palace? How much and how long would a taxi ride cost? Thanks

Take bus line 5 from Tiananmen West Station to Deshengmen Station. Then, change to bus line 872 to Dingling.

If by taxi, the fare may be around CNY 200. The trip takes about 1 hour. :)

I will be travelling to Beijing soon and would like to know what subway I will need to take to travel from Central Airport to arrive at The Imperial Mansion, Marriott Executive Apartments, located at North Gate, No. 1 , Xiagonfu Street, Dongcheng District. I thank you.

Hope this is not too late for you. I assume you refer to Capital Airport. Then take shuttle bus line 13 to Jinbao Street (Peace Hotel). Then walk 10-12min to your hotel. Show the locals the Chinese charactes of your destination, and they will help with the directions.

My name is Kathleen I am Australian. I am visiting Beijing for the second time.
I arrive on Sunday 20/12/15 at approximately 3pm and would like to travel directly from the international airport to Nanshan Ski Resort.
I believe that the taxi is likely to cost 200-300 yuan one way from the airport. Does that sound correct?

From Nashan, I plan to travel to Simatai section of the wall on Tuesday 22/12/15. Do you know an easy way on public transport or do I have to catch a taxi? How much do you think the taxi would cost?

From Simatai I plan to walk to Jinshanling and get a taxi to Gubeikou train station.

I plan to catch the train from Gubeikou to Huairou North Train Station on 22/12/15 what times does the train run? (If it is infrequent I might need to stay one night in Gubeiko any recommendations at that time of year)

From Huairou North Train station I will catch a taxi to Huabai International Ski resort, how much would you expect the taxi to cost?

On 24/12/15 I plan to catch the train from Huairou North Train station to Badaling section of the wall. Does the train from Hauirou North go to Badaling? How often and how much would it cost?

I plan to stay at the Badaling Ski Resort for 2 nights with one day skiing and then visit he wall and the Ming Tombs if possible by taxi if possible before returning to Beijing via the Summer Palace.

On 26/12/15 I think I can catch a train from Badaling Train station to Qinghe Railway Station and then catch a taxi to the Summer Palace. From there I can catch the Subway from Beigongmen Station to Beijing.

My hotel is the Sanlitan Youth Hostel, near the Sanlitan Bar Street, the closest Subway station is Dongsishitiao. What is the best route to take from Summer palace to my hotel?

As I will have my bags, perhaps it will be better to take a taxi? How much would that cost? It is approximately 26km.

Thank you for your assistance.

1. Yes, you are right with the taxi fare. It takes 60-70min to the ski resort.
2. Walk to Shengshuitou bus stop to take bus line Mi. 3 (branch line) to Miyun South Gate Outer (Miyun Nanmenwai). Transfer to Mi.51 to Simatai Village Station. Then walk to the wall. The whole way by public transportation takes around 3h. If taking a taxi, the fare can be CNY250 or around.
3. I just know the train leaves from Beijing North Station at 9:12 , not sure when it departs from Gubeikou. You’d better consult further.
4. The taxi from Huairou North to the ski resort is only around CNY20.
5. As I know, there seems no train leading to Badaling from Huairou North.
6. Yes, you can take a taxi to Summer Palace for a side trip and then head for the downtown area.
.7. Walk from Summer Palace to Beigongmen metro station to take line 4 to Xizhimen and transfer to line 2 to Dongsishitiao. After that, walk to your hostel. If taking a taxi for the journey, the fare is CNY50-60.

you need to pay when you board to the bus.

you will get off at Beijing South Railway Station in Beijing.
no need to book the ticket in advance.
it is the best way to travel from Tianjin to Beijing.
you can take a taxi from the beijing South Railway station to your hotel, the taxi fare is about CNY 30.
please notice that the last train from Tanggu railway Station to Beijing departs at 20:14. if you miss the last train, you can go to the Tianjin Railway station to take the train to Beijing South Railway station.

You have to take a taxi or Bus No. 102 from Tianjin Port to Tanggu Railway Station first. Then take a bullet train to Beijing SOuth Railway Station. The train ticket price is CNY 55 for second class seat, CNY66 for first class seat and CNY94 for VIP seat. There are dozens of trains daily, so you can just buy the ticket on arrival.

My friend and I are planning a trip to China in early April. We would like to go from Beijing to Chengde, then to Xian. We figure we'll have to fly from Beijing to Xian, but is there a bus from Chengde to the Capital Airport? How do we get schedule info? Thanks for your helpful website.

There is a bus from Chengde to Sanyuanqiao every 10 minutes. from Sanyuanqiao, you can take airport Line 2 to capital airport directly.
