Itinerary Details
Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Once your flight lands at the Beijing International Airport, your tour guide is ready to welcome you outside Customs, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. Then you will be driven to the hotel that has been reserved for you. The rest of the day is yours to recover from the long-distance plane ride.

Day 2 Beijing
Our group at the Great Wall
Your small group China tour starts today. In the morning our guide will accompany you to the Tiananmen Square, the world's largest city square and a significant venue for major ceremonies and gatherings in China. Then walk northward to visit the Forbidden City, the imperial palace of the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1922) dynasties with magnificent architectures and historical collections.

We will serve you an a la carte welcome lunch with authentic Chinese food and Peking Roast Duck at a famous local restaurant. It values CNY150.00 per person and is included in our price.

In the afternoon, continue the tour to the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors used to worship the God of Heaven for blessings. In the evening, we will take you to enjoy an eye-catching Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater.

Day 3 Beijing
In the morning, today's Beijing small group tour will begin with the Mutianyu Great Wall, the essence and one of the best preserved sections of China Great Wall. To save your time and energy, you will take the cable car up and down the mountain. As you reach the top of the wall, you can feast your eyes on the magnificent landscapes over it. We will specially prepare a bottle of red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. 

We will not arrange lunch for you since the restaurants near the site are not good enough. You are suggested to have a big breakfast at hotel this morning and have some fast food for lunch. Afterwards, you will be driven to experience an authentic local market in the downtown area.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an
In the morning, our guide will lead you to visit the largest and best-preserved royal park in China - the Summer Palace. Next, we will drive by the Bird's Nest where the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Opening Ceremony was held. Get your camera ready and take some photos of this splendid building.

At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) is served at an upscale restaurant which will definitely satisfy your appetite.

In the afternoon, we will arrange you a Hutong tour by a local rickshaw to have a glimpse of local's lives and experience the real culture of Beijing. Many folk arts are hidden in the traditional alleys. Here you will have a chance to learn how to make the paper cutting and do it on your own to create a unique gift for yourself. Then our guide and driver will transfer you to the airport to take a flight to Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in the world. Upon arrival, our Xi'an guide will pick you up and help you check in the hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an
Biking on the City Wall
Today you will start your small group Xi'an tour by visiting the Terracotta Army for the whole morning. You will be amazed by thousands of life-sized terracotta soldiers and horses standing in battle formations. This noon, we will heartily arrange you a home cooked a la carte lunch at a local family and also offer you a chance to learn how to cook Chinese dishes for free.

After lunch we will proceed to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda built in Tang Dynasty (618-907). Then walk for five minutes to visit Xi'an Museum. This evening, you will enjoy a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show while having the well-known Dumpling dinner.

Clients visiting in Jan, Feb, Mar and Dec need to arrange the dinner and evening activity on their own for this day, since the theater is usually not open at that time.
Day 6 Xi'an - Zhangjiajie
After breakfast, follow our guide to observe the local life in the City Wall Park. It is also worthwhile to practice Tai Chi with a master in the morning. After that, head to visit the landmark of Xi'an, the City Wall, where you can take a leisurely walk or rent a bike to ride on the wall. The bike rental fee is at your expense. 

At noon, an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) will be served to you at a quality restaurant. 

Then you will visit the Provincial History Museum, which collects 370,000 relics items from over a million years ago to about 1840AD. Afterwards, continue your Xi'an small group tour to the Great Mosque built in 1392. The mosque is surrounded by a Muslim quarter and you can have a stroll there.

Afterwards, we will take you to the airport for the flight to Zhangjiajie. When you arrive, your guide in Zhangjiajie will wait for you from the airport and take you to the hotel.

Day 7 Zhangjiajie
Today we will spend a wonderful day in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Firstly, we will visit the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. Here, we will take the world's highest outdoor elevator with a height of 326m, the Bailong Elevator, and have a look at the Hallelujah Mountain depicted in the movie Avatar.

Then we will take an electric car to the Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve. There are more than 3,000 mountains there, each with unique geographic sceneries, waterfalls and caves. Afterwards, the guide will take you to visit the Jinbian Stream. This enormous canyon, weaved by the limpid stream, is famous for the Golden Whip Rock located upstream. At the end, we will take a small train to visit the Ten-Mile Gallery in Suoxiyu Scenic Area. This 5-kilometer's trip will make you appreciate many pictographic rocks such as Old Man Gathering Herbs, Tiger Roaring to the Heaven and King Xiangwang Reading A Book.

Day 8 Zhangjiajie
Today's trip starts from the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. You will experience the excitement of walking on the world's highest Glass Bridge hanging over the valley with a height of 300m. The middle part of the bridge is connected by transparent glass. Those who love to take pictures can lie on the bridge and take unique pictures. Also, standing on the bridge, you can see the scenery at the bottom of the valley 300 meters below your feet, which challenges your courage a lot. Later, you will take a boat ride on the Baofeng Lake, while enjoying the local people singing folk songs.

Day 9 Zhangjiajie - Shanghai
Today your Zhangjiajie tour continues to the highest peak of Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Moutain. It's well-known for a splendid natural wonder, Tianmen Cave. It is a huge cave through the mountain, often filled with fog. There are 999 steps to reach the cave. When walking up the steps towards Tianmen Cave, you will have a feeling of going up to the Heaven. In the afternoon, you will take a flight to Shanghai. Your guide will welcome you upon landing and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 10 Shanghai
Shanghai Bund area at sunset
Your small group Shanghai tour starts today. First, we will visit Shanghai Museum which is one of the four largest museums in China with more than 120,000 collections. The next spot is Yu Garden, an exquisite traditional Chinese garden with a history of more than 400 years. There is a traditional bazaar surrounding the garden where you can spend some time seeking souvenirs for your family and friends. 

We will serve you an a la carte farewell lunch (valued at CNY120.00 per person and included in our price) at a popular restaurant.

After lunch, head to the Former French Concession for a walking tour and then our guide will escort you to visit the Bund, the symbol of Shanghai and have a one-hour cruise tour on the Huangpu River. When today's Shanghai small group tour ends, our guide will send you back to hotel and say bon voyage.

Day 11 Departure from Shanghai
Your China small group tour will come to an end today and you will go to the airport by yourself. We won't provide the transfer service due to different leaving schedules. We kindly suggest you reserve a taxi to the airport with the help of the hotel concierge. We wish you a smooth trip!
