Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch Offering Nineteen One-day Tour Packages

According to Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch, sixteen one-day tour packages will be formally operational on October 1 and last until October 7, 2007. By then, there will be nineteen one-day tour packages along with the former three ones serving for tourists.

These sixteen new routes include three sightseeing packages and thirteen holiday tour packages. The former are available daily, and the latter available on the weekends and Chinese legal holidays from April 7 to October 15.

At the same time, Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch will offer other service. During the national holidays, some of the tourist buses will depart at 06:00, about half an hour in advance. The bilingual consulting service is available at any time of a day in Chinese and English. For some popular attractions, such as the Simatai Great Wall, tourists will receive bilingual guide service throughout the way. In addition, tourists will get a chest band for the sake of getting lost.

Beijing: Five Temporary Direct Tourist Lines to Opened

From October 1 to 7, 2007, five temporary fast bus lines to some suburb attractions will be opened in Beijing. The buses will take you directly to the destinations and the ticket fares range from CNY 10 to CNY 30.

Public Transport in Beijing Ready for the Holidays

It is reported that Beijing public transport has got ready for the coming holidays from October 1st to 7th.

During the holidays, the government will adopt the temporary traffic management in some areas, including the Tiananmen Square, Jingshan Park, Summer Palace, Fragrant Hills Park, and the Badaling Expressway. The railway stations, public bus companies, and subway enterprises will take practical measures to relieve the traffic congestion.

Eighteen temporary trains will be under operation in some big cities including Harbin, Changchun, Xian, Shanghai, Nanjing and Zhengzhou. About 17,100 public buses will be in service every day to meet the demand.

From September 30th to October 4th, the trains of Beijing Subway Line 1, Subway Line 2, and Subway Batong Line will run at special timetable. The trains will run one more hour and more extra trains will be under operation. The Qianmen Station of the Subway Line 2 is scheduled to close on October 1st, and the trains will not stop in this station.

Four grand lantern festivals will greet the Mid-autumn Festival (August 15 of the Chinese lunar calendar) in Beijing. The festivals will start on September 25 and last until October 7, 2007.

The lantern festivals will be held in the Longtanhu Park (?????) in Haidian District, Ditan Park (????) in Dongcheng District, International Sculpture Park (??????) in Shijingshan District, and the Old Summer Palace (???) in Haidian District.

The peak time for visiting the parks will be from 19:00 to 21:00 on September 25; therefore, people would better avoid this period for the sake of safety.

Red Leaves Festival to Held in Beijing Fragrant Hills Park

The annual Red Leaves Festival of the Fragrant Hills Park will be held in the park from October 12 to November 4, 2007. During this period, the festival will present diverse activities.

At present, the trees in the park grow much better owing to plenty of rainfall this year, and the red leaves are hopefully more charming. According to relevant rules, the use of the yearly tickets, season tickets, and monthly tickets will be limited within certain period during the festival.

People with the above-mentioned tickets could enter the park only from 06:00 to 09:00, and from 16:00 to 18:30 on October 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, November 3rd, and 4th.
