CNY 150 per person.

Does anyone know if it is possible to go waterskiing (or wakeboarding) here?

If not do you know any other places close to Beijing that offers this?

Regards Bjorn

I'm planning to go Longqing Gorge by the tourist bus on 1/9/2013.However, please advise what time does the bus depart from Longqing gorge to Beijing.Where does the bus stops in Beijing? After visiting Longqing Gorge, we should we get this tourist bus to come back to Beijing? Also may I know is there any charges for a 11 month old baby? I tried to book the ticket online but the website is in chienese and I dont understand the language. Is there any other website for online booking in English? Are the bus fares remain same for foreigners? Where can I find the map for Longqing Gorge for me to move around there easily. Please advise. Thanks & Regards
kesavan, M'sia

do you mean the tourist bus of Beijing Hub of Tourist Dispatch?
there is an English website, but this trip can not booked online:
you need to purchase the ticket at the window of Beijing Hub of Tour Dispatch on the northeast corner of the Xuanwumen Catholic Church on Saturday Sunday from 7:30-8:30am.
the bus fare is CNY 60 per person, no special charge for foreigners, and 11 month baby, either.

Hello, was just wondering if you could confirm the buses from beijing to longqing gorge from beijing. As I am reading on many sites I need the 919 followed by the 920 but I have heard someone mention the 875 bus is the one I am needing to get?

Reply2/10/2013 2:21:55 AMStacey ,   China

Julia :2/15/2013 11:38:46 PM

bus 875 only runs within Yanqing County, which is in the north of Beijing, so you need to take a bus to Yanqing, and then change to a bus to Longqing Gorge.

Hi, I'm planning to visit on 19th jan,Saturday from Beijing. Is the stop 875 to longqing gorge walking distance from the ice lantern.
Also, can we visit in the evening, what is the last bus we should take to Beijing

James :1/16/2013 7:17:21 PM

the bus stop is within walking distance to the ice lantern.
it is better to visit in the evening, when the lanterns are on.
but i am afraid you need stay overnight near the attractions, as there are not buses back to Beijing late at night.

Any other day activity around the area apart from lantrin show at night?

Hi, I see that the hours for the 龙庆峡 are only until 4:30pm. Does this mean that it's not possible to see the ice lanterns at night? I would like to take my family to see the ice lantern festival when it's dark, if possible. Thanks.

don't worry, the opening hour will extend to the night during the lantern festival.

Hey there: I know it says that the longqing gorge is only open until nov. 15th. Does this mean there is no way to wander around the area at all? Is the entrance to the scenic area somehow fenced? Or is it just, that the boats won't run after that date? Does November 15th as closing time apply for every year??? Thanks for any comments, I would appreciate it!

but there are Ice Lantern Festival between January 15th to the end of February.

We would like to visit Longqing Gorge this 13Dec2012. Understand that the amusements are closed. Would anyone know what is open on this date? Would we be able to see the lantern festival on this date?

Hi, came across this site. I'd like to check which is better in terms of travel time and view... taking a bus or train to Yanqing?

Personally, Any time is ok. In summer, it is a good shelter against the heat of the city. In autumn, it is rich with fruit. In winter, the Ice lanterns are also charming.

1. take bus No. 919 for 6 stops to Yanqing Nancaiyuan Stop (the 6th stop), and then change to bus No. 875 to Longqing Gorge.
2. the bus No. 919 runs in daytime from 06:00 to 19:00.
bus No. 875 runs between 06:40 and 19:40.
3. when getting back to Beijing from Longqing Gorge, you can take a bus No. 875 and then 919 to Deshengmen in Beijing.

eiyu :5/24/2012 11:13:17 AM

how do i get from badaling to longqing?
what times do the buses leave?
also, how do i go from longqing to beijing?
what time does the last bus leave?

sorry for the many questions

Bill :5/23/2012 7:11:12 PM

it takes about 2 hours from the city to Longqing Gorge. except for the time you spend on the way (4 hours for a round-trip), i think you can stay in the scenic area for 2 - 4 hours.

Hi,pls suggest transportation fm Dongcheng district to Longqing Gorge. How long & how much the fare? Any subway line?

Reply5/2/2012 9:33:07 PMelaine ,   Malaysia

Susan :5/3/2012 7:30:03 PM

you can take a taxi to Deshenmeng, and then take a bus No. 919 to Yanqing County, and then a bus No. 875 to Longqing gorge.

What is the difference between tourist bus & normal bus? Are they sharing the same bus stop? Do we need to spare small change or driver will give change for the bus fare. Thanks.

Reply5/2/2012 9:36:52 PMelaine ,   Malaysia

Tina :5/3/2012 7:34:00 PM

the tourist bus belongs to the Beijing tourist transport hub. you are taking a one-day tour if you purchasing the tourist bus ticket, which may include the entrance fee of Longqing Gorge.
you need to prepare small changes for normal buses.

Hi, I would like to spend two days out of Beijing and I really need a suggestion. The first day I'd like to go to Longqingxia and spend all the day there. But then I have no idea for the second day...is there any place worth visiting in the area? How can I reach it? Where can I spend the night? Thank you very much!

Hi Sofia,
did you go to the Great Wall? it is the must-see attraction in Beijing.

you can also try the Shidu Scenic Area which is located in the Fangshan District, about 80 km from the city center.
