i heard that there are buses from Tianjin Port to Beijing, and you can buy the bus tickets on the ship. but i'm not sure where the bus will stops in Beijing. if you take the bus to Beijing, you may take subway line 1 to Wangfujing station and exit from Exit C and walk for about 260 meters or just take a taxi to the hotel. if you cann't find the bus from Tianjin port to Beijing, you can take bus No. 102 or a taxi from the port to Tanggu railway station, and then take the intercity train to beijinng south railway station. after you get off the train, you can take subway line 4 to Xidan Station and transfer to Subway Line 1 and get off at Wangfujing station, exit from Exit C.

Hi there,
is there any public transportation i.e. train/bullet train from Tianjin International Airport to Beijing? how much does it cost and how long does it take to reach there?

I know the railway station and the OLD cruise terminal is on Google Maps, but I'm looking for a map or detailed directions from the Tanggu Railway Station to the the NEW Tianjin International Cruise Home Port.

Al :8/16/2010 2:40:00 AM

Elva :8/14/2010 9:35:00 PM

the port is nor far from the railway station, but there's no direct buses, so i suggest you to take a taxi, and it costs about CNY 20.

hi,
you can take the intercity train from Beijing South Railway Staton to Tanggu, and then take a taxi to Tianjin Port. from your hotel to Beijing South Railway station, you can walk to southeast for about 400 meters and take the bus No. 106 at Mishi Dajie (Mishi Street) to Beijing South Railway station. the train schedule from Beijing to Tanggu you may refer to the following page, http://www.beijingtrip.com/china-train/display.asp?tp=1&to1=Tanggu&from1=Beijing+South&tstop=&trainno1=
when the train arrives at Tanggu, you can take a taxi to Tianjin Port, it costs about CNY 20.

Need to rent a van when we arrive in Xiangang port to take us to hotel Ibis in Tanggu. Last year when we arrived, taxi at port wants to charge $100 RMB for a 10 minute ride, or they refused to take short fare. This time we have 4 adults and 8 suitcases, so want to rent a van/2 taxis in advance. Can we call taxi company to reserve?

andy :8/7/2010 9:19:00 PM

you can reserve the taxi when you arrive at the port, here is the telephone number of the public transportaion center: +86 022 96880 and the number of a taxi company: +86 022 26353731,
but i'm not sure whether they provide English service. i suggest find a Chinese-speaker to help you.

I have read that each passenger has a free allowance of 20kg carry-on luggage on the Beijing to Tianjin bullet train. What is the surcharge per kilo for luggage over this allowance?

Reply8/3/2010 11:02:00 AMIan ,   United Kingdom

Bella :8/3/2010 8:46:00 PM

hi,
there's no surcharge for the luggage over the allowance, besides, there are places for over-sized luggage on the train.

I am going on a cruise ' Legend of the sea ' depart on 14/8/2010 18:00. I will arrive on the Beijing International Aiport around 10:00 on 14/08/2010. Which is the fastest route to Xingang Tianjin Port ? How much would that be ?

I arrive in beijing on october 5th and leave on a cruise from tiangian on 7th october. Do you think i should spend the night of the 6th in tiangian or is the train reliable to get me to the port on the 7th morning. Also should i go to tanggu rather than tiangan.

Oliver :7/31/2010 9:25:00 PM

hi,
the Tianjin Port is located in Tanggu District, so you may go to Tanggu rather than Tianjin. the earliest train from Beijing to Tanggu arrives at Tanggu at 08:14, and you need to go from Tanggu Railway station to Tianjin Port, it takes about 30 minutes. so if your cruise leaves early in the morning, i think you need to spend the night in Tanggu.

hello i next monts going china im need bus transfer ticet how much is it . erlian-beijing and beijing-macau tkankyou bay

Brenda :7/26/2010 8:52:00 PM

it cost CNY 100-180 from Erlian to Beijing by long-distance buses, but there's no direct bus from Beijing to Macau, i'm afraid you need to go there by air.

I wouls appreciate some help. I will end a cruise at tianjin port on the 7 Aug. and need to travel to Beijing Novotel Xinqiao in Dongcheng. Base don the emails I have read I plan to get a taxi from the port to Tanggu Railway station andget a fast rain to a Beijing station, then taxi to my hotel. What I would like to know is

Any help appreciated.

Oliver :7/25/2010 8:50:00 PM

Hi Andy,
1.it costs about CNY 21 from Tianjin Port to Tanggu Railway Station, and about CNY 22 from Beijing South Railway Station to the hotel.
2. you will arrive in Beijing South Railway Station if you take the bullet train from Tanggu Railway station.
3. some of the taxi drivers knonw some English, but not all. for Tanggu Railway Station, you can tell them Tang Gu Huo Che Zhan, and from Beijing South Railway station, you can tell them you want to go to Xin Qiao Nuo Fu Te Fan Dian. you can also print the Chinese name of the Tanggu Railway Station and the hotel, and just show them to the taxi drivers.

thanks lilly,
can you tell me the name of the station i will go to ?
also if possible the part of the station that the bullet train will go from.
thanks again

jim

hi can anyone help an over fifty with four big cases getting off a cruise ship in tianjin on the 30th september 2010.
me and my wife would like to travel on to beijing by bullet train but are concerned about getting from the port to the train station, and how long it will take to get to the local station from the cruise ship. help !!!

Reply7/21/2010 12:29:00 PMjim ,   United Kingdom

lily :7/21/2010 8:43:00 PM

hi Jim,
since you two carry so much luggage, i advise you to take a taxi from the Tianjin Port to the railway station. it takes about 40 minutes to the railway station. for your four big cases, i think you may ask the some one on the cruise to help you, good luck.

Help! I need step by step instructions and approximate costs, please. We are 2 adults with 2 large luggage and 2 carry on type bags. We need to get from the Beijing Regents to the train station first. Second, a bullet train closest to Tianjin cruise port? Third, from the port to the Roy. Carib. cruise ship. Also if we are going by taxis, the specific type of taxi to look for and are they metered? Thanks again. Scott

Lily :7/14/2010 9:40:00 PM

hi Scott,
first, you need to go to Beijing South Railway Station to take the bullet train. you can walk for 230 meters to Dengshikou station to take subway line 5 to Chongwenmen Station, and chenge to Subway line 2 to Xuanwumen, and then subway line 4 to Beijing South Railway Station. if by taxi, it will cost about CNY 27.
second, you need to take the bullet train from Beijing South Railway Station to Tanggu Railway Station, which is close to Tianjin Port. the train schedule you may refer to this page http://www.beijingtrip.com/china-train/display.asp?tp=1&to1=Tanggu&from1=Beijing+South&tstop=&trainno1=
third, you can take a taxi from the Tanggu Railway Station to Tianjin Port, it costs about CNT 21. you can ask the taxi to take you to the entrance of Tianjin port or somewhere near the waiting room, then you just need to find the waiting room, it will be easy for you to get to your cruise. last, you can take the cars with a sign of "Taxi" on it, and those taxis are metered.

I too, am on the Sept 04 cruise. We are at the Beijing Regents and have been quoted 1100 CNY for 2 of us (private car) with luggage to get to the cruise ship. 1. Is that fair? I saw 450cny for a taxi. Was that 450 total or per person? 2. Is there anything to do or see on the drive from Beijing to Tianjin? Thanks for any responses!

Lily :7/7/2010 8:55:00 PM

hi,
1. i think CNY 1,100 is a little expensive. you may bargain with the driver.
2. CNY 450 is the total fare.
3. the car may travel through the express way, so i think there's nothing to see on the way.

Taxi fare from central Beijing to Tianjin Port. Your website is excellent. Thank you.

of course no, there's no problem. you can bring your luggage with you. but, too much luggage will be inconvenient for you, right?

Janice ( Puerto Rico ) :6/24/2010 10:23:00 AM

Thank You so much !!!!

my last question will be for the luggage ...there is no problem going on the train and the bus with luggage ?

anna :6/24/2010 5:49:00 AM

the ticket for a bus usually CNY 1-2, and the train ticket is around CNY 50. the subway ticket fare in Beijing is CNY 2.

Janice ( Puerto Rico ) :6/23/2010 9:23:00 PM

Thanks for your reply

but how much money will the ticket cost and the buses ? just to make a budget for this trip ?

anna :6/23/2010 9:08:00 PM

hi Janice,
you need to get to the Tianjin Railway Station first. you can take a taxi or take buses No. 102 to Xin Mei Yuan, then change to NO. 805 to Zhong Xin Guang Chang. when you get to the Railway station, you can the train ticket to Beijing Railway Station, and after you get to Beijing Railway Station, you can take Subway Line 2 to Dong Zhi Men, and then take Bus No. 916 to Da Shan Qiao Dong, then Change to Bus No. 538 to Dong Xin Dian, when you get off the bus, it is not far from the hotel, you can either walk or take a taxi to the hotel.

Fred :2/19/2010 8:19:00 PM

1. you may go to the beijing South railway station to take the intercity train.
2. the soft seat is said to be CNY69.00.
3. I think it is easy.
4. it takes about CNY6.00 for about 1.5 hours.

p.s. the cost of traveling with the travel agency and by yourself are almost the same.

anna :6/20/2010 8:48:00 PM

the cheapest way is to take public transportation, but will cost much time. so you may try to contact a travel agency in Tianjin, in that way, you d'not need to worry about the time and transportation.

What is the best way to travel from Yangliuqing (Golf Club) to Binhai International Airport? How long does this journey take?

Reply5/19/2010 11:35:00 AMRobert ,   United Kingdom

Bella :5/19/2010 9:04:00 PM

it is about 1 hour's drive from Yangliuqing to Binhai. you can also take public transportation, but will cost more time: walk for about 600m to the bus stop, take bus No.601 to Xizhan (West Station), and take subway Line 1 to Xiamen Road, then bus No.678 and get off at Guo Hang Da Sha. it takes about 3 hours by pubulic transportation. so i advice you drive a car or take a taxi, it will save time.
