It is very convenient to take a bullet train from Tianjin to Beijing, since there are dozens of trains daily and it only takes around half an hour.

My hubby and I will be disembarking from the Diamond Princess on the 1st of May 2012 and was wondering if anyone wanted to share a private van transfer into Beijing. We will be staying at the Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-TOWN.
If anyone is interested please email me direct on debbyron@aapt.net.au

Hi Debby,
public transportation is also very convenient.
you can take a taxi to the Tanggu Railway station and a bullet train to Beijing South Railway station, and then a taxi to the hotel.

We will be arriving Tianjin Port on Diamond Princess on March 30, and would like to go directly to Beijing Airport. Is an airport bus the best way? As noted above, the airport bus departs from Tianhuan Long-Distance Bus station. Where's this station? Is it within walking distance from the Port? Does it require another bus or taxi to get to the Bus Station?
How long does it take to get from Port to Airport?

Is this airport bus a direct shuttle between Tianjin Port and Beijing Airport? How much does it cost?

Many thanks.

hi May,
there is no direct bus from the ferry termianl to Beijing airport. and the tianjin tianhuan long-distance bus station is a little bit far from the port.
from the port, you can take taxi to the tanggu railway station and then take a bullet train to Beijing south Railway station, and then take an airport shuttle bus to Beijing airport.
it will take approximately 3 -4 hours (at least).

Does the airport bus going from PEK to Tianjin take us to the embark point or another mode of transportation is needed. Diamond Princess cruise Feb 27 2012. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank y ou. grearWe cruisewill beare to we have to take another mme directly to the embark port or int or boarding thetakiT

no direct way of transportation is available between the airport and the dock.
the fastest way is to take the airport shuttle bus line 10 to Beijing South Railway station, and a bullet train to Tanggu railway station ,and then take a taxi to the ferry terminal.

Hello, What is the way to get to the international airport from Tianjin dock instead of using Princess transfer service?

Kelly :12/13/2011 6:17:21 PM

Hi Wayne,
from the cruise terminal, you can take a taxi or bus No. 102 to Tanggu Railway Station, and take a intercity express train to Beijing South Railway Station, and then take subway line 4 to Xizhimen station, and line 2 to Dongzhimen station, and transfer to airport express line to the Beijing Capital airport. the cost is less than CNY 150.

Hubby and I will be disembarking from the Diamond Princess on the 1st of May 2012. What's the best way to get from the port (dunno which one)to the airport (dunno which one either!) Please help.

Hi Meng,
the port must be the one in Tanggu District, Tianjin City. but you need to make sure which airport you are going, is it in Tianjin or Beijing?

We too are going on Diamond Princess and would like to visit Terracotta Warrior site. We join ship in Australia on 4 Feb and on ship for 39 days. Can anyone suggest options for us?

I think you may have to book a taxi through a local China travel company. It costs around CNY300 for a single way. Why not take the airport shuttle from Beijing capital airport to Tianjin? It costs around CNY80 per person only.

Where is the best place to change US dollars into China Yaun money

all Chinese banks are available for currency exchange, for example, Bank of China.

My wife and I will be taking a Princess Cruise on 30MAR2012 departing from Tianjin at 6.00pm. Please advise if there is transfer or shuttle bus available from Beijing Capital Airport directly to the Cruise Terminal. Please also advise cost and duration of such trip.
If there is no direct service, what alternative do we have?
Thank you very much.

I think you can find a cooperator through a local China travel company.

Which station on the Tianjin-Tanggu light rail line (Number 9) is closest to the new International Cruise Home Port, and are taxis easy to come across at this particular station?

hi,
Civilian Plaza (Shi Min Guang Chang)station is nearest to the port, and it is very easy for you to take a taxi from the station to the port.

We are embarking on the Diamond Princess on the 11th November. Could you please tell me how much it would cost for a taxi from Tianjin Railway Station to Tianjin Port International Cruise Port? Thank you

Hi Jan,
it costs about CNY 160.

Does anyone familiar with Tianjin know the easiest way to get to Tianjin airport from the Tianjin cruise terminal?

Juno :10/18/2011 8:32:27 PM

hi Max,
the easiest way it to take a taxi, of course, and it costs about CNY 120.
or you can take bus No. 107 or 502 from the terminal to Heping Road stop, and walk eastwalk along the road for about 100 meters, turn right at the crossing to the Yongjiu Street, and walk for another 100 meters, you will find the Waitan Park bus stop, take the airport shuttle bus to Tianjin airport.

Will cruise on the Diamond Princess early next year. Wanted to know how long it takes from the cruise terminal to the Tianjin express train station (to Beijin), by taxi. Are taxi available by the cruise terminal? How far is the Beijin train station to the airport. Thanks in advance.

There are 6 of us on the same cruise with you. We are planning to take the beijing half day tour from the ship and take a cab from the tour drop off point to our hotel. Doing that we don't have to drag our luggages on the train.

Bob and Hilary ( United States ) :8/7/2011 8:27:41 PM

Rosemarie,
Hilary and I are on the same cruise, Diamond Princess, as you and the Banisters. We would be interested in meeting with you and others to explore the possibilities of A group transfer to Beijing as well as tours once there. Robert Jackson. rljacksn13@aol.com

hi Steve, you need to get to the Tianjin Railway Station first, and then take the train to Beijing.
it takes only 40 minutes from the Tianjin railway station to Beijing south Railway station. the train ticket is CNY 55.

Does anyone know how to go to Beijing Capital Airport from Tianjin Airport? Is there any buses or trains from Tianjin Airport?
