I wonder which section of Great Wall would you visit. Anyway, here is the way to Badaling section which is the most popular one. At Tiananmen East metro station, take subway line 1 to Fuxingmen, where transfer to line 2 and get off at Xizhimen. Then walk to Beijing North Railway Station to take a train to Badaling.

hey guys, I'm going to beijing this week.could you guys help me out and suggest some good places to visit there and how to reach there by subway.....

To Temple of Heaven, take bus no. 106 at Dongzhimen station to reach exactly. Bus no. 110 also helps.

To Badaling Great Wall, take metro line 2 at Dongzhimen to get off at Xizhimen. Then walk to Beijing North Train Station to take a train to reach.

Apart from these, you should not miss Wangfujing as well. To reach there, take metro line 2 to Jianguomen and transfer to line 1 to Wangfujing.

Hi, local Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven and Badaling Great Wall are all must-sees.

To Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, it is easier to travel by bus from Chunxiu Road. You can walk to Xingfu Sanxun bus stop to take bus no. 120 and get off at Tiananmen East and then you can walk to the square and the palace.

To Summer Palace, walk around 1,000 meters to Dongzhimen to take metro line 2 to Xizhimen. Then transfer to line 4 and get off at Beigongmen. It is close to the north gate of the park.

hi guys, I'm staying at sanlitun hostel at chunxiu road. please assist me how to go to forbidden city, great wall, summer palace , tianmen square and beihui park from there by metro..

To Summer Palace, you can use line 2 to Xizhimen, where transfer to line 4 and get off at Beigongmen. Upon getting out, it is right close to the north gate of the garden.

The last destination must be Beihai Park. Compared with metro, it is easier to use local bus. Walk to Laborers' Stadium (Gongren Tiyuguan) bus stop to take bus no. 3 or 118 to the park directly.

To Summer Palace, you can use line 2 to Xizhimen, where transfer to line 4 and get off at Beigongmen. Upon getting out, it is right close to the north gate of the garden.

Well, here is what I know:To Forbidden City: walk from the hostel to Dongsishitiao metro station to take line 2 to Jianguomen, where transfer to line and get off at Tiananmen East. Get out from exit A and you can see the forbidden city. Of course, the Tiananmen Square is also close by. To the Great Wall, which section would you prefer to see? To Mutianyu, you can take subway line 2 to Dongzhimen. Nearby you can take bus no. 867 to get there. To Badaling, use line 2 to Xizhimen. Then you can walk to North Train Station to take a train to reach.

For an efficient travel, I suggest you travel by plane and there is no direct plane between Beijing and your country, so I suggest you transfer in Alma-Ata. As you may choose different planes, it is hard to tell the air duration. To travel without a travel company, you are recommend to book the transportation ticket and hotel in advance. Upon getting to Beijing, things would be that hard, because most things are marked in both Chinese and English. Or you can even book an independent travel/tour from an agency. They would help you book all and you can just travel on your own. It is cheap and convenient!

I want to go to Beigongmen(summer palace) from Dengshikou by subway. please advise. Thanks!

At Dengshikou metro station, take line 5 to Yonghegong Lama Temple station, where transfer to line 2 to Xizhimen. There you can transfer to line 4 to Beigongmen directly.

Hi Hamid
3 - 4 hours are not enough for a visit to any section of Great Wall, it will take over two hours to get to the Great wall. So I suggest that you have a good rest in the airport or railway station, or take a short visit around.

Take bus No.707 for ten stops to Dabeiyao South, and then walk northward to the Guomao station to catch a subway line 1 to Tiananmen East. Leave the station from Exit A and walk to the Forbidden City.

for Chinese souvenir, i suggest the Xiushui Market. Remember to bargain. the market can be reached by subway line 1 at Jianguomen Station.

the neareast Great Wall is the Badaling section and the most convenient way to get there is taking the tourist train from Beijing North Railway Station. the train is available hourly. it takes only 80 minutes and costs CNY6 per person.

yes, the three buses go directly to Beijing Botanical Garden, but you need to get off at Sleeping Buddha Temple (Wo Fo Si) and you will see the garden.
if by taxi, you just take a taxi at the Beigongmen station (or the north gate of Summer Palace), and the taxi fare is about CNY 25.
