Yes, the hotel you mentioned is Beijing Marriot Hotel (City Wall) which is only one kilometer away from Beijing Railway Station.

There are many buses going from Beijing West Station to Beijing Station, so you may choose from No. 9, 52, 122, 703, 802, 821 and 848. Or you can take a taxi if you have much luggage.

You can take the D35, D37, D39 and D41 from Beijing South Railway Station to Jinan. The ticket cost for soft seat is CNY 184.

From Nanheyan you can take No. 10 bus to Xidan where you transfer No.102 electric bus to Beijing South Railway Station.

Should you choose Tianjin-Beijing Intercity Train, you will arrive at Beijing South Railway Station. From there you can take the No. Te 5 Bus to Wanshousi stop and transfer to No.699 bus to the Zhongguan Yuan, which is very near Beijing University. The cost is no more than CNY 10.

Hi, Matt
You can buy the Beijing-Ulan Bataar ticket at China International Travel Agency which lies behind Beijing International Hotel. You can also take the K3/4 Beijing-Moscow train there.

Hi,friend

Reply4/22/2009 10:33:00 PMLiu Xiaomin ,   China

Any website where i can purchase the train ticket in advance for Tianjin to and from Beijing.

Im arriving at Tianjin Airport and how should i go about buying the ticket at the most convenient and fastest way? How much does it cost from Airport to Railway and how much is the train cost from Beijing to Tianjin?

BeijingTrip.com :4/22/2009 11:59:00 PM

There is no such website for booking train ticket on line. We suggest you buy the ticket immediately after you get to the railway station.

The ticket office could be very busy recently due to the coming May Day holidays. Comparatively, the tickets of Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Train are easier to obtain.

Taking taxi from Tianjin Airport to Tianjin Railway Station costs around 50 Yuan. Taking buses costs no more than 20 Yuan. The prices for the 'C' initial trains are: 69 Yuan for the first class, 58 Yuan for the second class.

Hi,

My friend and I are planning to travel from Beijing to Inner Mongolia on 21 May 2009 by train. How can we book for the train ticket? Is there a private room in the train? What is the price for private and open room? Is there any timetable for train? Also, after we reach the train station in Inner Mongolia, is there any public transport provided the sighseeing tours? And what is the cost?

Thank you.

Hi there,
May I know if there is a direct train or bullet train from Beijing to Dalian and from Dalian- Tianjin?
How long will these journeys be and how much will the tickets cost?
Im planning to go to Dalian on May 15th and to Tianjin on 30th June. Should I buy the tickets earlier by online or should I just buy the tickets on the day of the journey?

Hi,

Currently there is no bullet train from Beijing to Dalian nor from Dalian to Tianjin.

Our suggestion is that you take T81/84 Beijing-Dalian train, a 9-hour journey from 21:21 to 06:58. Ticket prices: CNY 120 for hard seat, CNY 222 for sleeping berth. From Dalian to Tianjin, you can take T226/227, a 12-hour journey from 18:08 to 06:00. Ticket prices: CNY 140 for hard seat and CNY 257 for sleeping berth.

Train tickets are not available on line you will have to buy them on the journey day.

Hi, Tina
I live in Tanggu. You can take the T536 (leaves at 7:46), K216 (8:55) and 1302 (17:24) from Tanggu Station to beijing. It takes about one and a half hours. You can just buy tickets at the station. Have a nice trip:0

My family and I are travelling from Beijing to Tianjin via the interecity train on 23th April. It is advisable to obtain the tickets from our travel agents in advance or is it easily obtainable when we arrive at the Beijing South Railway station on 23th April? Is there usually a long queue? Thanks.

The ticket of Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Train is only on sale at Beijing South Railway Station.

It should be obtainable when you arrive at Beijing South Railway Station on 23th April. But we cannot tell whether there will be a long queue.

Usually the tickets are very hot during Chinese national holidays, such as the May Day Holiday and the National Day Holiday.

Thanks for your trust in beijingtrip.com!

My husband and I (including a small child) plan to take the airport express line to Dongzhimen station. We want to take a cab to the Beijing South Railway Station for the Beijing Tianjin Intercity train. Are there ample directions in English upon our arrival at the Dongzhimen station as to where to exit in order to get a cab? Is there a particular exit we should look for? Thanks for your help.

Hi, Jackie
You can take the Airport Express Line to Dongzhimen (CNY 25), then take a bus or taxi ( around CNY 30) to Beijing South Railway Station where you can take the Beijing-Tianjin Intercity train.

Thanks for visiting beijingtrip.com!

As I know, Beijing-Ulaan Baatar train tickets are not available at the railway station. It is usually on sale at the Beijing International Hotel. The presale period is 60 days. The K23/4 train runs on Saturdays. Remember to bring your passport and visa.

From the Beijing Railway Station, are train tickets to Ulaan Baatar easy to get (e.g., on the same day of departure), or would I need to buy them for several days later? How often do UB trains leave?

To find the best way by public transportation go to www.bjbus.com (the official transit authority website) and enter your origin and destination. Unfortunately, English version has a bug, so Chinese is the only an option. The first two windows are for origin and destination, the right one is to enter a route number if you want to see a particular bus route or a subway line. You can find Chinese charecters on the Web, then copy and paste them. In your situation the Howard Johnson Hotel is close to the train station, you can just walk there. To learn how to use the website lets enter the South Railray Station as a starting point (????) and the Beijing Railway Station as a destination (???). You can also use the drop-down menu to minimize distance (2nd), transfers (3rd) or time (the last), or simply use a default. Click the green button, you will see several selections on the left panel and your origin and destination on the map. Make sure your origin and destination are corerct, then click the green button on the bottom of the left panel and it will bring you several options. As we can see, buses 20 and 692 will take you to the destination directly. To ensure you know how many stops to go, check routes by entering a route number in the right window. It tells me that the entire route #20 connects both stations, the trip is 10 km long with the total of 11 stops. For 692 there will be 7 or 8 stops and the Beijing Railway Station is also the last stop. You may also go with transfer by taking 106 to ???? (check route 106 and you will see that it takes ten stops) and then take 25, 39 or 104 from there. Anyway, it's not that complicated to use the Chinese website as one might think.
Good luck and enjoy Beijing!

Welcome to Beijing! As there are four stations in Beijing, and you should make sure which station you arrive. As you travel from Changchun, you may arrive at Beijing Railway Station (???), but I am not quite sure. This station is quite close to Howard Johnson Hotel, you may take a taxi for better convenience.
