Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Thanks for choosing us to assist you with your Japan and China tours in East Asia. During the tour, we will not only guide you to visit their must-sees like other agencies do, but also give you the chances to experience their customs, taste their authentic food and more. Pack your luggage and set off! Our guide will wait for your arrival outside the customs of Beijing airport and escort you to the hotel in a clean and comfortable vehicle. After a short break, let's start our exploration in Beijing with a Hutong alley tour. You will have a fun-filled experience to savor the original Beijing culture and lifestyle by taking a rickshaw. That's really a nice start for your one week China itinerary.

Day 2 Beijing
Forbidden City

This morning we will first head for the solemn Tiananmen Square, commonly known as the symbol of China. Passing through Tiananmen Tower, we will arrive at the neighboring Forbidden City, where in the past the imperial family lived for more than 500 years. The stunning palaces are well preserved, with crimson columns and eaves decorated with colored glaze. Besides the magnificent architecture, you will surely be amazed at the numerous treasures stored in this museum.

Then an a la carte lunch (valued at CNY150.00 per person and included in our price) will be served at a very nice restaurant where you can taste authentic Chinese food.

The next stop is the Temple of Heaven, which was used by the ancient emperors to worship the heaven and wish for a good harvest in feudal times. After that, we will escort you back to the hotel.

Day 3 Beijing
Today let's explore the Great Wall at Mutianyu section, a representative segment of this great military construction, and the highlight of this private 7 days China itinerary. The round trip cable car is included. From a distance, the wall looks like a giant dragon as it winds along its way. Standing on the beacon tower, you can have an imposing view of the surrounding mountains. You will always remember this amazing visit.

As the nearby restaurants are not so good, lunch has not been arranged. For that reason we suggest you bring some snacks with you. Alternatively, there are fast food outlets near the wall and our guide will be happy to offer suggestions.

Next we will visit the Sacred Way, where there is a series of ancient stone buildings, such as archway stele and statues of officials and animals. We will drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) and see its outstanding appearance on our way back to the hotel.

Day 4 Beijing - Xian

We will take you to visit Beijing Zoo, where you can observe the cute giant pandas eating and playing lively in the morning. Afterwards, our tour continues to the Summer Palace, a classic royal garden frequently visited by travelers. In addition to the two main parts, the Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, the garden is also dotted with many exquisite halls, pavilions, corridors, rockeries and bridges.

You will spend the afternoon by taking a high-speed train to Xian, the second destination of this one week China tour itinerary. Upon arrival, our Xian guide will pick up you from the railway station and escort you to the hotel.

Day 5 Xian
Today you will take the essential tour of Xian. As the eighth wonder of the world, the Terracotta Army Museum is waiting to welcome its enthusiastic guests. We will set out for it in the morning. The lifelike terracotta warriors and chariots won't disappoint you!

In the afternoon, we proceed to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda to admire the well-preserved ancient brick building and learn about the Buddhist culture. Next we explore the Provincial History Museum, one of the four best museums to soak up China's brilliant civilization.

Day 6 Xian

After breakfast, you will explore the ancient City Wall. The walls form a square to enclose the old town of Xian and defended the city from invaders in the past. Riding a bike on the brick-paved wall is a once in a lifetime experience for many visitors. After that, we go to visit a local family and have a home cooked lunch there. That is a good opportunity for you to get close touch with the local Chinese people, taste their family dishes and get acquainted with their daily life.

Then we will show you the Forest of Stone Steles Museum, where you could appreciate the ancient steles engraved with the great calligraphers' works. The rest of the afternoon is devoted to the Great Mosque and the lively Muslim Quarter nearby.

Day 7 Xian - Tokyo
Today, your memorable 7 days tour of China concludes. After breakfast, you will be escorted to the airport. Our guide will be on hand to assist you with the check-in procedures of the flight to Tokyo in Japan, a country to the east of China across the sea.

Day 8 Tokyo full day highlights tour
Starting today, our Japan tour packages will offer you an in-depth exploration in this island country, including historical heritages, modern skyscrapers, natural scenery, cute animals, high speed trains and more. 

Today, the private guide will lead you to visit the hot scenic spots in Tokyo by public transportation. The first stop is Meiji Jingu Shrine where you can feel the charm of Japanese tradition. It was completed on November 1st, 1920 to mourn the Emperor Meiji and Empress Dowager Shōken. Now it is the most visited shrine in Japan. Then, head to the residence of Japan's Imperial Family - Imperial Palace, and the famous Old Tsukiji Fish Market. Afterwards, follow the guide to Ginza Shopping District. It is the most well-known high-end shopping, catering and entertainment area with numerous department stores, boutiques, galleries, restaurants, night clubs and cafés. Next, go to Tokyo's oldest Buddhist Temple at Senso-ji in Asakusa, followed by a stroll through the colorful Nakamise Shopping Street. Finally, set out to Akihabara which has been regarded as the center of otaku culture in Japan in recent years. Most shops and places aiming at animation scatter among the electronics stores in this district.

Day 9 Enjoy a leisure free day in Tokyo
The whole day is your free time. You can spend the whole day in Disneyland. Or take a walk in Ueno Park in the morning and feel the bustling life of Kabukichō in Shinjuku-Sanchome in the afternoon. It is a street full of various stories for it is one of the rare large-scale red-light districts in the world, as well as a street with plenty of cinemas, bars, night clubs and love hotels. Called as Sleepless Street, it is still bright lit in late night with numerous people, definitely a must-see tourist attraction in Tokyo.

Day 10 Full-day Nikko World Heritage Excursion from Tokyo
Your private guide will pick you up at the hotel in the morning, and then lead you to take the express train for about 2 hours to Nikko. In today's Japan tours, we will pay a visit to the UNESCO world heritage sites in Nikko: Shogun Ieyasu's Shrine Toshogu and the nearby Rinno-ji Temple and Futarasan Shrine which are founded by Shodo Shonin, the Buddhist monk who introduced Buddhism to Nikko. These three scenic spots together is renowned as Two Shrines and One Temple. You will also see the Shinkyo Bridge with a romantic story. It is a sacred bridge at the entrance to Nikko's shrines. At last, we will go back to the Nikko Station and take the express train to Tokyo. After arrival, transfer to your hotel by train or bus.

Day 11 Mt. Fuji tour from Tokyo
After breakfast, you will be transferred from hotel to Mt. Fuji by the English driver in 2 hours. First, we will tour the Fiji Visitor Center to know its history and ecological background. If weather permits, take the bus to Mt. Fuji 5th Station, the highest place the bus can reach. Here, you can have a panoramic view of the forests and lake. At noon, enjoy a lunch at a local restaurant (lunch fee is excluded). Afterwards, get down by bus to one of the lakes around Mt. Fuji, Lake Ashi, from where you can enjoy the great view of Mt. Fuji, and then take Mt. Komagatake Ropeway which is another good way to see the great Mt. Fuji view. Finally, go back to the parking lot and back to Tokyo with your driver.

Day 12 Bullet train to Nagano, Visit Snow Monkey Park, Overnight at Yudanaka
You need to take 1.5 hours' bullet train to Nagano by yourself in the morning. After arrival, you will meet the guide at the station. Then follow the guide to the Snow Monkey Park in Yudanaka by train in 1 hour. Here, you can see the interesting and unique scene of snow monkeys bathing, swimming and leaping in the warm hot spring. In the evening, we will stay overnight at the Yudanaka Onsen Hotel.

Day 13 Bullet train to Kanazawa, Leisure Free Afternoon in Kanazawa
This morning, your guide will accompany you to take the local train to Nagano and help you connect to the bullet train to Kanazawa. After 1.5 hours, you will arrive there. Then take the bus to the hotel and check in by yourself. In the free afternoon, explore the historical city on foot to Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, Higashi Chayagai District with traditional houses (Nagamachi samurai houses are recommended) as you like.

Day 14 Express train to Kyoto, Half day city tour in Kyoto
After checking out in the morning, make your own way to take the express train to Kyoto in about 2 hours. Our friendly guide will wait for you at the station. Then you can enjoy your sightseeing in Kyoto. We'll commence with the spectacular Kinkakuji Temple, a Buddhist temple with gold leaves covering the top two layers. It is built next to Nijo Castle in 1603 as the residence of the first Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu of Edo Period (1603-1867) in Kyoto. Continue to Kiyomizu Temple. The most famous is its wooden stage stretching out of the main hall which provides a perfect view of surrounding lush cherry trees in spring and maples in autumn. Finally, set out to the most popular Fushimi Inari Shrine. It is the most important one among thousands of shrines worshipping Inari. After the tour, the guide will help you check in the hotel.

Day 15 Full day Lake Biwa tour
In the morning, your English guide will greet you at the hotel. Then start today’s tour by public transportation. Take about 10 minutes' train to Otsu. After getting there, you will be led to take a Michigan cruise boat on Lake Biwa for about 1.5 hours, passing through Nionohama Kanko Port and Yanagigasaki Lakeside Park Port, to relax and watch the spectacular scenery of Lake Biwa as it goes by. Then return to Otsu and go to Onjoji Miidera Temple by 10 minutes' bus. As the head temple of Tendaijimon Buddhism, it has been regarded as one of the top four temples in Japan. Its name is originated from a miraculous spring where the three emperors Tenji, Tenmu and Jito were given their first bath (Ubuyu). Next, pay a visit to Ishiyama-dera Temple by the local train for 20 minutes. There are quantities of national treasures and important cultural properties, including one two-storey pagoda and varieties of religious texts, Buddhist statues and scrolls. Finally, go back to Kyoto by train for 30 minutes and tour ends in hotel.

Day 16 Enjoy a relaxing free day in Kyoto
As the old capital city of Japan, Kyoto has abundant historical culture heritages. Today, we recommend you to visit eastern Kyoto, a famous geisha district - Gion area, where you can visit Yasaka Shrine, Hanami-kōji, Philosopher's Path and other popular attractions. Alternatively, you may have a leisure tour to Arashiyama, where you can walk through the bamboo groves, together with Tenryuji Temple and take photos at Togetsukyo Bridge.

Day 17 Departure from Osaka (Kansai) Airport
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at appointed time and transfer you to Itami or Kansai Airport in Osaka for your departure flight. Your guided tour in Japan ends here with lingering memories!
