Daily Itinerary Summary

Day 01: Entry Beijing
You will be met upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport and transferred to check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is left free. No escorted tour is scheduled.

Day 02: Beijing   
After breakfast you are invited to attend the pre-tour briefing in the hotel, where you will meet the other members of your group. Start your China tour with the visit to the world largest city square of Tian'anmen Square. Just cross the famous Chang'an Avenue to enter the Forbidden City to appreciate this majestic royal court complex. A tasty a la carte lunch will be arranged for you at a fancy local reastaurant. In the afternoon the visit will be focused on the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors pray for God blessing and harvest for the whole nation. The welcome dinner of the Beijing Specialty Peking Duck Banquet will be served at the famous Quanjude restaurant. Consequently you will be entertained by a brilliant Kungfu Show at the Red Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing 
Drive to visit Badaling section of the world famous Great Wall, one of the ancient construction wonders in the history. You will be given 1.5-2 hours to have a short excursion on the wall. To reward the energy lost in the morning, you will be transferred back to a fine local Sichuan food restaurant to have a decent lunch. In the afternoon you will move to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb. On the way back to downtown area, you will pass the grand Bird's Nest and appreciate it at a distance.

Day 04: Beijing Xian  
Visit the Imperial garden Summer Palace where is the royalties' summer resort and the lovely Giant Pandas in Beijing Zoo. A tasty a la carte lunch will be arranged for you at a fancy local restaurant at noon. Take an afternoon flight to the next ancient capital city, Xian. The local guide will pick you up at Xian airport and transfer you to check in at the well selected hotel.

Day 05: Xian
Drive to visit the remarkable significant archeological excavation of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the morning, which is not to be missed for any visitors to China. An a la carte lunch will be arranged for you to avoid having the poor food at the tourism site shop. In the afternoon go on with the city tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. This evening the local specialty Dumpling Banquet and the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show are scheduled for you.

Day 06: Xian Lhasa
Take flight to the holy city Lhasa and you will be met and transferred to the local best hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to make yourselves adapt into the high altitude.

Day 07: Lhasa
Visit the Norbulingka Pak, meaning "Treasure Park", which is the Summer Palace for Dalai Lamas, and have a Tibetan Family Visit to look inside the local people's life. Lunch of western style will be served at a noted local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Sera Monastery to see the interesting lamas' sutra-detabing. Wonderful Tibetan dance and fashion show is performed at the time you enjoy your dinner.

Day 08: Lhasa
Today you will visit the sacred Potala Palace which is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks. Lunch of Western style is served at another noted restaurant. After lunch, visit the Jokhang Temple, the real spiritual center of Tibet, and the Barkhor Street where you will find many Tibetan people go to chant and sing. Continue to visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital.

Day 09: Lhasa Shanghai
Wind up your Lhasa adventure after the visit to the Tibet Museum. After lunch take a flight to your final stop, the largest economic metropolis in China, Shanghai. Be met and transferred to check in at the hotel.

Day 10: Shanghai
Take a highlight city tour to visit the Shanghai Museum with large collection of rare cultural piece and the elegant Yuyuan Garden full of traditional flavor. A sumptuous a la carte lunch is scheduled for you today. In the afternoon, the guide will take you to visit the Nanjing Road, walk along the Bund area and visit an old cultural street in Shanghai. Upon returning to the hotel, our tour guide will see you into the lobby to bid the farewell. Our escorted service ends here.

Day 11: Shanghai/ Exit
Please check out from the hotel before 12:00 in the morning by yourselves. Go to the airport for your home forward flight on your own. If you still have more time for the China visit, you can contact us for some suggestion to extend your China trip.

 Important Notes:
 
 To the Airports:
Shanghai has two airports: Hongqiao Airport (9 miles (15 km) west of the center of Shanghai) and Pudong Airport (19 miles (30km) southeast of Shanghai). Please make sure you go to the right one for departure.
 
 Best way to Airports:
Beijingtrip.com suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your hotel to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The trip to Pudong Airport will take one hour at 150 -170 RMB and it needs a 20 minutes drive for the Hongqiao Airport at 30 RMB. Hotel shuttle buses are available every hour to the airport at 30 RMB per person. For details please contact the Front Desk of the hotel.
