Day 01: Entry Beijing
You will be met upon arrival at Beijing Capital Airport and check into your hotel. The rest day is left free off schedule for your individual activities. No escorted tour is scheduled.

Day 02: Beijing
After breakfast you are invited to attend the pre-tour briefing in the hotel, where you will meet the other members of your group. Start your China tour with the visit to the world largest city square of Tian'anmen Square. Just cross the famous Chang'an Avenue to enter the Forbidden City to appreciate this majestic royal court complex. In the afternoon the visit will be focused on the Temple of Heaven, where the Emperors pray for God blessing and harvest for the whole nation. The welcome dinner of the Beijing Specialty Peking Duck Banquet valued at CNY122.00 net per person will be served at the renowned restaurant. Consequently you will be entertained by a brilliant Peking Opera performance at the well-known Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing
Drive to visit Badaling section of the world famous Great Wall, one of the ancient construction wonders in the history. You will be given 1.5-2 hours to have a short excursion on the wall. To reward the energy lost in the morning, you will be transferred back to a fine local Sichuan food restaurant to have a decent lunch. In the afternoon you will move to visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. On the way back to downtown area, you will pass the grand Bird’s Nest and appreciate it at a distance

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
After visit the Imperial garden Summer Palace where is the royalties' summer resort and the lovely Giant Pandas in Beijing Zoo, take an afternoon flight to the next ancient capital city, Xian. The local guide will pick you up at the Xian airport and transfer to check in at the well selected hotel, where a lush buffet dinner valued at CNY170.00 net per person is waiting for you.

Day 05: Xian
Drive to visit the remarkable significant archeological excavation of Terracotta Warriors and Horses in the morning, which is not to be missed for any visitors to China. The a la carte lunch at CNY80.00 net per person will be arranged at a Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the downtown area, to avoid having the poor food at the tourism site shop. In the afternoon go on with the city tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This evening please enjoy the sumptuous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show served at the glorious Tang Dynasty Palace.

Day 06: Xian
This morning continue your Xian city tour by visiting the well-preserved City Wall, where the celebrative activities are often held during some important holidays. Afterwards you will be escorted to a local family for the visit, it is really a good chance for you to have close contact with common people and their life style. The a la carte lunch valued at CNY80.00 is prepared for you at the good restaurant. After lunch, you will visit the Great Mosque and have some free time in the bazaar nearby for some souvenirs or little gifts for your families or friends. The same valued a la carte dinner will be served at another local well known Sichuan cuisine restaurant.

Day 07: Xian - Lhasa
Take flight to the holy city Lhasa and you will be met and transferred to the local best hotel. The rest of the day is left for you to make yourselves adapt into the high altitude. The dinner is arranged at the hotel tonight.

Day 08: Lhasa
Start your tour with the visit to the sacred Potala Palace which is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks. In the afternoon, visit the Sera Monastery and have Tibet family visit to look inside the local people's life. Lunch of the Western style is arranged for you today. In the evening, a la carte dinner valued at CNY120.00 net is served at the local best restaurant.

Day 09: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple, the real spiritual center of Tibet, and the Barkhor Street where you will find many Tibetan people go to chant and sing. Continue to visit the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. Lunch of Western style is served at another noted restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace for Dalai Lamas, Norbulingka Park, meaning 'Treasure Park'. Wonderful Tibetan dance and fashion show is performed at the time you enjoy your dinner.

Day 10: Lhasa - Chongqing
Head for the mountain city Chongqing by a morning flight and be met by the local guide at the airport. Take a brief Chongqing tour to have a visit to the Residence of General Joseph W. Stilwell. After enjoying the buffet dinner at a 5-star hotel, you will be transferred to board onto the deluxe New Century Cruises for the cruise sailing, which will start at 23: 30.

Day 08: Chongqing - Fengdu
The river guide will give you some detailed information about the cruise. The ship will stop at the Snowy Jade Cave for the onshore excursion. After having some joyful time there, you will get on board and the sailing will continue. The Captain's welcome party is celebrated tonight and you are welcome to join in.

Day 09: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
The ship will stop at Badong to have an interesting short floating along the Shennong Stream in small pea boat, rowing by the boat trackers between the well-wooden and cliffy hills. Be sure to follow the instruction of the crew and get back on board on time. The ship will pass through the splendid five-step ship lock in the evening.

Day 10: Yichang - Shanghai
Disembark for the excursion at the Three Gorges Dam Construction Project, the world's largest hydroelectric project to be completed in 2009. Your guide will pick you up at the port duly and take you to visit the Yichang museum if time allows. Take a flight to the largest economic metropolis in China, Shanghai. Be met and check into the hotel. The rest hours are free on your own if any.
Day 11: Shanghai
Take your full day city highlights visit to Shanghai Museum with large collection of rare cultural piece and the elegant Yuyuan Garden full of traditional flavor. Then we will arrange the Huangpu River cruise tour in the afternoon. The Farewell Dinner valued at CNY105.00 net per person is specially arranged at the famous Wang Bao He in Central Hotel, with a history of 260 years old and serving the best Shanghai Cuisines. The breathtaking Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre will be served afterwards.

Please check out from the hotel before 12:00 in the morning by yourselves. Go to the airport for your home forward flight on your own. If you still have more time for the China visit, you can contact us for some suggestion to extend your China trip.

To the Airports:
Shanghai has two airports: Hongqiao Airport (9 miles (15 km) west of the center of Shanghai) and Pudong Airport (19 miles (30km) southeast of Shanghai). Please make sure you go to the right one for departure.

Best way to Airports:
Beijingtrip.com suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your hotel (JC Mandarin Hotel) to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The trip to Pudong Airport will take one hour at 150 -170 RMB and it needs a 20 minutes drive for the Hongqiao Airport at 30 RMB.
