Daily Itinerary Summary

Day 01: Entry Beijing Our local professional tour guide will expect you at the Beijing airport according to your international or internal flight schedule. Upon arrival, we will drive you to the deluxe Holiday Inn Central Plaza. On the way to the hotel, our guide will give you a brief introduction about the history of this historic city. Have a relaxation in the rest of day to recover from the long flight journey.

Day 02: Beijing Your enjoyable China tours will start in this morning. After breakfast, you will be gathered at the lobby and to meet the other members of the group that are from all around the world but share the same taste on travel. Then the pre-tour briefing which includes some dos and donts will be given in the hotel by your guide. To begin with your memorable travel, you will visit the world famous Tian'anmen Square - one of the grandest city squares in the world. Then the Imperial Palace - known as the Forbidden City is arranged next, where you can sense the vicissitude of once feudal spelled country. Today we will serve you a la carte lunch for you to taste the real Chinese food culture. In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, which was the royal temple for the royal members to pray and worship for harvests and blessings to their people. Tonight a memorable Kungfu show will be arranged for you in the Red Theater.

Day 03: Beijing
The Great Wall is the top highlight of Beijing and of China, if there is only one thing you could expect to see in China, that is the Great Wall. The truly magnificent Great Wall will be presented to you this morning as you travel to Badaling section. Do not like other travel agents who arrange food at the site tourist restaurant, we will serve you a famous Sichuan food at a local famous restaurant. After lunch, go ahead to visit the Sacred Road and the Ming Tomb - one of the Ming Dynasty royal graves in the afternoon. The whole day's sightseeing will come to an end after seeing the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium) in the distance on the way to the urban area. Our driver will stop there for a few minutes for you to take pictures if you like.

Day 04: Beijing Xian
Your Beijing tour will be concluded after visit the Summer Palace and the Hutong tour, where you may learn more about the local people’s lifestyle. Another a la carte lunch will be served for you today. Our guide will transfer you to the airport and see off an afternoon flight to the ancient city - Xian. Your tour guide in Xi’an will greet you at the exit of the airport and transfer you to the hotel to stay overnight. Xi’an is a city with more than 5,000 years history and we believe this ancient city must impress you.

Day 05: Xian
A wonderful journey today eastwards will take you to a genuine Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum tour. A special homely cooked lunch will be served at a fancy local restaurant where you may order your preferred dishes. The afternoon tour will cover the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, which is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China and located about 4 kilometers from the urban center. And then our tour guide will show you the ancient City Wall. In the evening, a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show with the famous Dumpling Banquet Dinner will be prepared for you to delight your night life. (Address: No. 165, Wenyi Road, Xian, 710054)

Day 06: Xian Chongqing
Day 07: Chongqing Fengdu
The cruise company will arrange a professional river guide for passengers during the cruise tour, who will give a brief introduction to the cruise after the breakfast today. According to the sailing schedule, you will meet the initial onshore excursion to the Ghost City in the afternoon. Afterwards, continue the sailing to the Three Gorges. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held tonight.

Day 08: Badong Xiling Gorge Sandouping
Day 09: Yichang Shanghai

Day 06: Xian Chongqing Move to the Great Mosque with accompany of our tour guide in the morning and have your own pace to walk in the Bazaar around the Mosque. Then take flight to Chongqing. Due to the limited flight schedule, we leave lunch on your own to arrange a simple one. Our guide will expect you at Chongqing airport with comfortable transfer. If time permits, we will show your around the ancient Ciqikou village. As the ship departs from Chongqing at about 22:00, your relaxing Yangtze River tour begins.

Hotel : President No. 1 Meals : B, L, DDay 08: Badong Xiling Gorge Sandouping After a big breakfast, disembark at Badong to take an exciting pea-boat floating along the Shennong Stream. Back to the ship to have lunch and continue the cruise into the western section of the Xiling Gorge. Pass through the splendid five-step ship lock in the evening.

Hotel : President No. 1 Meals : B, L, DDay 09: Yichang Shanghai Disembark for an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam. Then back to the cruise and pack your luggage and complete check-out procedures. Our local guide in Yichang will meet you on board at the cruise. Then transfer you to visit the Yichang Museum if time permits. Afterwards, a comfortable airport transfer will be arranged and see you off to your next destination - Shanghai. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for a good rest. Since your hotel is well located on the famous Nanjing road, it is convenient for you to find a good western restaurant to have dinner. After the dinner, take a walk along this lively commercial street.

Day 10: Shanghai
Your fantastic Shanghai tour will start by the visit to the Shanghai Museum, which is the top museum in China. Definitely, you will not miss the Yuyuan Garden, which is the most celebrated classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. At noon, we will serve you an a la carte lunch at a fancy restaurant. In the afternoon, the tour guide will lead you to visit the famous Bund area that is also called the world Expo of architectures, the famous pedestrian of Nanjing Road and an old street in Shanghai. Then our guide will transfer your group back to the hotel and say goodbye to you. If you have any questions, please consult your guide before leaving.

We would like to remind you that there are two airports in Shanghai, one is Hongqiao airport, which is for the internal flights, and the other is Pudong airport, which is for the international flights. However, should you wish to stay on rather than return home right away, we are glad to make an extension tour for your China adventure!

Important note:
To the airports:
Shanghai has two airports: Hongqiao Airport (9 miles (15 km) west of the center of Shanghai) and Pudong Airport (19 miles (30km) southeast of Shanghai). Please make sure you go to the right one for departure.
Best way to Airports:
Beijing Trip suggests you book a taxi at the Front Desk of your hotel (Sofitel Hyland Hotel) to make sure you won't stand outside the hotel entrance with your luggage waiting for a taxi. The trip to Pudong Airport will take about one hour at 150 -170 RMB and it needs a 20 minutes drive for the Hongqiao Airport at 50 RMB. Hotel shuttle buses are available every hour to the airport at 50 RMB per person. For details please contact the Front Desk of the hotel.
