Day 01: Entry Beijing

Upon your arrival in Beijing, our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing airport and transfer you to check in the well selected hotel. The left hours of the day are on your side for free individual arrangements. You can stay at the hotel to relax or explore the city by yourselves.

Day 02: Beijing
Today's delightful highlights cover the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Tiananmen Square is located at the center of Beijing and it is the biggest city square of the world. It can accommodate nearly 1 million people to hold a celebration. Walking northward from the square, you can get to the front entrance of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was firstly built in the year of A.D.1406 and finished in A.D.1420. It witnesses the 24 emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties. Now it has been the largest and the most well-preserved ancient building complex of the world. After paying a visit to the above two places, you will go ahead to the sacred Temple of Heaven where the emperors offer sacrifices to gods and pray for good harvest. In the evening, the Beijing Roasted Duck will be served at a famous restaurant for dinner, followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 03: Beijing
In the morning, you will be brought to the Badaling section of the Great Wall with comfortable transfer for a brief hiking there. This can be treated as one of the most important activities for the entire Beijing trip because there is a saying goes that he who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true man. The Sichuan food is arranged for lunch at a nice restaurant after your morning visit. Continue the visit to the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. The Sacred Way which is comprised by the stone archway, the big red gate, the stone statue and the Dragon and Phoenix Gate is the access of the Ming Tomb complex. There are 13 mausoleums in the Ming Tomb complex and 13 emperors, 23 queens, 2 princes, more than 30 Imperial Women and one eunuch of the Ming dynasty are buried there. Until now, only 3 tombs are open to the public and one of them is the most famous because of its underground palace.This is just the one that you will visit in the afternoon. In the evening, the a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area.

Yangtze River Shennong Stream excursion

Day 04: Beijing Chongqing
A royal garden, the Summer Palace which is situated at the northwest suburb of Beijing is welcome your coming in the morning. This garden is about 15 kilo meters away from Beijing city. The Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake were naturally utilized by the landscape architect to create a beautiful paradise. After the visit to the fabulous Summer Palace, your guide will transfer you to the airport and see you off by a flight to Chongqing, which is the biggest city in Southwest China and the key port of departure and destination for Yangtze River cruises. Pick you up at Chongqing airport and then transfer you to take a brief visit to the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo. You can see the lovely pandas there. After dinner, check in at the luxurious cruise ship, which sets sail at about 23:30. Your memorable Yangtze River Cruise begins.

Day 05: Chongqing Fengdu
The river guide will give a brief introduction of the cruise and the schedule during the process after breakfast. In the afternoon, you will meet the initial onshore excursion to the Snowy Jade Cave. The Captain's Welcome Party will be held tonight. Enjoy yourselves.

Day 06: Badong Xiling Sandouping
The essential part of the Yangtze River cruise is coming today. You will appreciate the unique scenery of the Three Gorges. An interesting junk adventure along the Shennong Stream will expect you here, which lasts about 3-4 hours. Then sail into the Xiling Gorge and pass the Five Level Ship Lock in the evening.

Day 07: Yichang Shanghai

Disembark for an excursion to the under constructed Three Gorges Dam. Pack your luggage and follow the check-out procedures. After having lunch at Yichang city, visit the Yichang Museum if time allows. Head for Shanghai by flight and your local professional tour guide will expect you with comfortable transfer service. Check in at the hotel for a good rest.

Day 08: Shanghai
Your first stop in this morning is the Shanghai Museum. In this art hall, a collection of 120,000 pieces of precious art works are on display waiting for your coming. You can find ancient Chinese bronze, painting, ceramics, calligraphy and so on there. Then you will go ahead to the Yuyuan Garden which is a symbol of the architecture style of gardens in Ming and Qing dynasty. After having lunch, a wonderful Huangpu River cruise is arranged for you. Hope you will like it. The Farewell Dinner is served at the Wang Bao He Restaurant which has a history of around 260 years of serving the best Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner is followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.

Day 09: Shanghai/ Exit
Be at leisure until the hotel-airport transfer is arranged for you according to your homebound flight schedule.
