Beijing Capital Intentional Airport (北京首都国际机场)
Being the largest international airport in China and one of the ten busiest in the world, Beijing's Capital International Airport is located in the northeastern suburb of Shunyi District. Built in 1968, the airport is approximately 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from the famous Tiananmen Square which is the center of Beijing. The passenger throughput of the airport made it one of the top ten airports in 2006. Beijing airport is the only international airport in China with two runways of 4E level, and it has fantastic facilities for passenger or cargo transport. As China opens to the foreign countries and nations, the number of flights and the number of passengers served increases steadily. Airport Buses (Ticket: CNY 16) and taxies are available to shuttle between the airport and the city center.

Get to Civil Aviation Building:
Subway: Line 1 to Tiananmen West (天安门西), and then walk westwards to the Civil Aviation Building.
Bus Route: Bus No.1, 4, 5, 10, 22, 37, 52, 205, 728, 802 to Tiananmen Xi (天安门西), and walk westwards to the Civil Aviation Building.

 Nanyuan Airport (南苑机场)

Located in Fengtai District, the south part of Beijing, Beijing Nanyuan Airport is about 13 kilometers (8 miles) from the city center-Tiananmen Square. The airport is well-equipped with ATMs, vending machines and packing machines. Here, you need not wait in a queue or arrive at the airport more than one hour in advance as normal procedures because there are always less people than the capital airport. You can buy the tickets only a few minutes before departure. At present, Nanyuan Airport has nearly 15 domestic air routes, including Wuxi, Dalian, Harbin, Hohhot, Chengdu, Ganzhou, Quzhou, Jingdezhen, Jiamusi and Chongqing. Some of the routes are specific to this airport in Beijing. In the future, more flights will arrive at or depart from this airport. The airport is operated by China United Airline; therefore, the on-schedule rate is rather high.

Airport Bus: Using your flight ticket, passengers can take the airport bus from Xidan Civil Aviation Building to Nanyuan Airport for free. Passengers arrive at Nanyuan Airport from Harbin, Dalian and Wuxi can also take the airport bus for free to get downtown with the boarding pass of the day.
